City of Gears is a unique steampunk game of exploration, area control, worker placement, and engine building, where players race from their Factory to claim the ruins of an abandoned clockwork metropolis. Each game plays in under an hour, with nine randomly chosen city tiles from dozens available, ensuring no two games are the same. On each turn, players roll production dice, activate City Tiles, move automaton workers, and perform actions like placing gears to reactivate areas, sabotaging opponents, and using unique steam powers based on their resources. Along the way, players develop their Factory with special powers that grant powerful bonuses. As the city is revealed and its abilities discovered, players must plan strategically to gain prestige and outmaneuver opponents so that when Opening Day arrives, their Factory will emerge victorious—can you set the City of Gears in motion?

Rental Details

When renting from ArchWizard, please note the following:

• $40 refundable deposit required upon collection or delivery.
• Rental is charged in 2-day blocks at $4 per block, with a minimum of 1 block (2 days).
• Extensions are charged in 2-day blocks at the same rate of $4 per block.
• Early return is welcome, but charges still follow the 2-day minimum.
• Any damage or loss will result in deposit forfeiture.
