Master Warranty Policy & Extended Warranty Terms
Effective Date: 2025/03/03
1. MASTER GOVERNANCE & SCOPE OF WARRANTY
1.1 Comprehensive Policy Scope. This Master Warranty Policy governs all standard manufacturer warranties distributed, managed, or serviced by ArchWizard Entertainment Pte. Ltd. ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), as well as optional ArchWizard Extended Warranty Plans. These terms operate in direct conjunction with our Terms of Service and Terms of Return and Refund Policy.
1.2 Coverage Definition. Warranty coverage applies strictly to mechanical and electrical defects in materials and original workmanship under normal, domestic, and non-commercial usage conditions during the designated coverage period. Coverage duration is determined based on the product description, variation, or official invoice issued at checkout.
1.3 No Cumulative Extension. Executing a warranty claim, component repair, or complete unit replacement under this policy does not restart, reset, or extend the original warranty period. The total coverage duration remains fixed strictly from the original tax invoice purchase date.
1.4 Geographic Restriction (Singapore Only). Warranty service, technical assessment, drop-offs, and return shipments are strictly restricted to physical addresses within the Republic of Singapore. The Company offers no international warranty support or overseas logistics fulfillment.
2. PROOF OF PURCHASE, OWNERSHIP, AND TRANSFERABILITY
2.1 Hardware Registration & Identification. Warranty coverage is tied strictly to the unique product serial number, barcode, or IMEI recorded in official Company sales records upon purchase.
2.2 Strict Proof Requirements. To qualify for any warranty claim, the customer must present an unaltered, original tax invoice or sales receipt issued in Singapore by the Company or an authorized reseller. Invoices must clearly state:
- The Company UEN or authorized reseller branding;
- Exact product hardware description and model; and
- Matching hardware serial number, IMEI, or product barcode.
2.3 Non-Authorized Resellers & Parallel Imports. Products acquired through non-authorized resellers, unauthorized marketplaces, gray-market parallel imports, or counterfeit channels are strictly excluded from warranty service.
2.4 Transferability Conditions. Standard and extended warranties remain attached to the specific hardware unit upon private resale or gifting. However, any subsequent owner must present the original, unedited tax invoice meeting all criteria under Clause 2.2. Failure to produce verifiable proof of purchase shall immediately void all warranty rights.
3. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURES AND REMEDIES
3.1 Immediate Defect Notification. Customers must notify the Company in writing immediately upon discovering an operational defect and prior to the expiration of the active warranty term.
3.2 Return Requirements. Products submitted for warranty evaluation must be returned in their original physical condition, including all original packaging, documentation, manuals, warranty cards, power adapters, cables, and bundled accessories.
3.3 Company Discretionary Remedies. Upon technical evaluation by Company-appointed service engineers, the Company shall, at its sole and absolute discretion:
- Repair the defective product using new or refurbished functional parts;
- Replace the unit with an identical hardware model; or
- In the event of hardware end-of-life (EOL) or stock unavailability, substitute the unit with a refurbished or equivalent model of comparable specification and functional value.
3.4 Ownership of Defective Parts. Any defective components, parts, or whole units replaced during warranty servicing shall automatically become the property of the Company.
3.5 No Cash Refunds. Under no circumstances shall executing a warranty claim entitle the customer to a monetary cash refund, store credit, or price adjustment, except where mandated by non-excludable provisions of the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act (Cap. 52A) of Singapore.
3.6 Logistics & Diagnostic Fee. All shipping, courier, and transportation costs to deliver the product to the Company's service premises are the sole responsibility of the customer. If upon technical assessment the reported fault cannot be replicated, is caused by user misuse, or falls under Section 4 exclusions, the Company reserves the right to charge a mandatory diagnostic fee of SGD $50.00 prior to unit release.
4. MASTER EXCLUSIONS AND VOIDANCE CONDITONS
4.1 General Exclusion Criteria. This Master Policy explicitly excludes coverage and legal liability for:
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic degradation, surface scratches, denting, or discoloration;
- Consumable items, including internal/external batteries, power adapters, cables, thumbstick grips, or button silicone pads, unless failure occurs due to original material defects;
- Accidental drops, liquid ingestion, water damage, fire, lightning strikes, electrical surges, corrosion, environmental exposure, or force majeure events;
- Misuse, abuse, operational negligence, commercial rental, scalping, or utilization outside manufacturer operating guidelines;
- Third-party software corruption, custom firmware/ROM installations, jailbreaking, cheat devices, malware, viruses, bots, or unauthorized operating system modifications;
- System bricking or operational disruptions caused by official manufacturer firmware updates, server terminations, or third-party app incompatibilities; or
- Failure to store, maintain, or clean the product according to official product instructions.
4.2 Seal Tampering & Unauthorized Servicing. Any unauthorized attempt to disassemble, open, modify, solder, or repair hardware by third-party technicians shall immediately and irrevocably void all warranty coverage. Removal, defacement, or alteration of serial numbers, barcodes, or warranty security seals renders the warranty completely null and void.
5. POST-PURCHASE EXTENDED WARRANTY ELIGIBILITY & 7-DAY RULE
5.1 Retroactive Plan Purchases. Customers who did not purchase an ArchWizard Extended Warranty Plan during initial checkout may apply to purchase coverage retroactively, subject strictly to Company approval.
5.2 Strict 7-Calendar-Day Window. Applications for post-purchase extended warranty coverage must be submitted in writing within exactly seven (7) calendar days from the date of original retail purchase or verified delivery completion. Applications submitted beyond this 7-day window will be automatically rejected.
5.3 Inspection & Discretionary Approval. The Company reserves the right to physically inspect the hardware unit and verify serial numbers prior to approving extended coverage. Approval is granted at the Company's sole and absolute operational discretion. Upon written approval, an official invoice link will be issued; coverage commences only upon full payment receipt.
6. BRAND-SPECIFIC & HARDWARE CATEGORY ADDENDUMS
In addition to the Master Terms, the following specific rules apply based on hardware brand and product category.
